Plastics Recycling
Granulators: The Herbold Meckesheim granulator is suitable for wet operation with horizontal forced feeding by means of screw conveyors, which allows space-saving installations and easy feeding of the material. Another advantage is the high throughput capacity: The SB mill can process up to two tons of polyolefins per hour or well over one ton of film. SB granulators are also often used for grinding PET bottles and in washing plants for plastics recycling. In addition, the mill is characterized by uniform load absorption and low energy consumption, and all wearparts are easily replaceable.
Shredders: Herbold single-shaft shredders are real work-horses. They are equipped with a user-friendly microprocessor control and have all the advantages of an SPS control such as:
- automatic stop of the shredder if the hopper is empty
- interval control of the pushing device
- overload and material dependent control of the hydraulic pushing device
- automatic reversing device in case of material pile-up
Ideal for:
- recycling bales of film, and big lumps
- injection / blow molded items with large hollow bodies
- problem materials such as rejects of sintered semifinished products
- thickwalled pipes
- cable recycling
- post-consumer waste treatment
Wash Lines
Pre-washers, wet granulators, friction washers, sink/swim tanks are just a few of the possible components of a complete wash line. Hot wash llines for PET are also effective and proven technology.
Pulverizers & Grinders
High-speed grinders designed to pulverize ground stock from profile, pipes, extruded products, film, pellets, rubber and a variety of other products. Can be equipped with a variety of grinding tools and screening units.
