Unique K3 Vibratory Feeder Now Available in New Size

Coperion K-Tron is pleased to announce a third size of the K3 Vibratory Feeder: the V300.

With the addition of the V300 to the vibratory feeder family, the three models can now deliver feed rates from 1 to 8,500 dm3/h [0.035 to 300 ft3/h]. The V300 is available in a hanging configuration with three high-accuracy load cells for gravimetric feeding.
Vibratory feeders are ideal for the gentle handling of a wide variety of materials, including friable products, abrasive products or products with non-uniform shapes. They are suited to the feeding of pellets, glass fiber or regrind to extrusion and compounding lines, for example in plastic recycling applications. Vibratory feeders can often be a viable alternative to screw feeders for difficult to handle materials and may allow feeding without build-up which can occur on screws and screw tubes.
Thanks to groundbreaking new drive technology the K3 line of vibratory feeders are able to deliver a continuous, even product discharge with minimal pulsations. The K3 vibratory drive is able to do this thanks to a completely new shock absorber design which uses a unique flexible pendulum technology instead of conventional rubber or spring shock absorbers. The advanced control system works with the feeder electronics with internal sensors to adjust the vibratory drive signal to maintain clean sinusoidal displacement for optimal mass flow. The combination of this unique drive with the Coperion K-Tron KCM-III control module also results in extremely low energy consumption as compared to other feeding technologies. The K3 vibratory feeder is able to achieve accuracies averaging 35% better over traditional vibratory technologies.
This latest generation of Coperion K-Tron loss-in-weight vibratory feeders offers gentle handling of the bulk material, higher accuracy and faster product changeover, resulting in less product waste, less downtime and better end product quality as well as improved sustainability.
